About the Role

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist at AdventHealth Tampa, you will perform complex diagnostic and interventional procedures under the direction of a radiologist. This role is critical to ensuring the continuity of patient care and the delivery of high-quality imaging services. You will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare providers to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Your day will involve preparing and maintaining a sterile field, ensuring proper technique and adherence to strict infection control standards. You will be responsible for positioning patients and equipment appropriately, operating fluoroscopy and imaging systems to capture high-quality, real-time images, and preparing and administering contrast agents while monitoring for adverse reactions. Safety is paramount; you will actively participate in time-out and procedural verification processes to ensure correct patient identification and site, while strictly following radiation safety concepts to keep exposure levels ALARA for both patients and staff.

Beyond the procedure room, you will manage inventory and supplies, maintain accurate documentation within electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems, and support the safe operation and maintenance of specialized equipment. This role requires independent judgment and the ability to adapt quickly to the dynamic needs of the interventional suite.
