Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Louisville, Kentucky. About the Role
The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technology. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, operating fluoroscopic and other imaging modalities, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. You will work closely with the interventional radiologist and healthcare team to support complex vascular and non-vascular procedures in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

- check_circleOperate fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound imaging equipment
- check_circleMonitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
- check_circleAdminister contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
- check_circleEnsure radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self
- check_circleMaintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment for procedure readiness
- check_circleManage and restock procedural supplies including catheters and guidewires
- check_circleCollaborate with radiologists and nurses to provide seamless patient care
- check_circleProvide patient education before, during, and after procedures
- check_circleAssist physicians by scrubbing in and maintaining sterile fields
Requirements
- verifiedOne year's recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- verifiedValid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- verifiedAbility to read, write, and communicate in the English language
Nice to Have
Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC). Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations. PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
