Nico Products, part of The Lindgren Group, operates in the critical but often overlooked metal finishing and plating industry. We protect metal from corrosion and apply cosmetic or functional treatments to parts used in medical devices, aerospace, defense, and U.S. manufacturing. Our work touches everything from tools to hardware, ensuring the reliability of essential industrial components.
As a Rack & Tool Maker (Welder/Fabricator) / Maintenance Technician, you will be a pivotal member of our production team in Minneapolis. This hands-on role involves fabricating, modifying, and repairing the metal racks, fixtures, jigs, and tools that keep our plating and manufacturing processes running smoothly. You will work directly with engineers and production staff to develop efficient, ergonomic tooling solutions, ensuring parts are held or plated correctly while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an active, industrial position within a clean, OSHA-compliant warehouse. You will be exposed to typical manufacturing elements such as heat, humidity, dust, and noise. The role requires strict adherence to security protocols, including the storage of personal mobile devices during shifts, and a commitment to safety regulations like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
We reward strong work ethic and initiative. Attendance is critical to our success, and we offer bonuses for reliability. We are committed to career growth, offering opportunities to become an expert in your position, a lead trainer, or move into supervisory roles. We invest in people who invest in their work, offering a supportive environment with competitive pay, profit-sharing, and comprehensive benefits.
We conduct in-person interviews only; virtual interviews are not available. If you do not currently reside in Minnesota, you must have definite relocation plans in place before being considered. The application process involves uploading your resume and answering screener questions thoughtfully. If selected, you will be contacted via text or email. Please note that as part of the onsite interview process, you must pass a basic math test within 10 minutes to proceed. We aim to respond to all applications within 14 days.
The Lindgren Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees, and veterans are encouraged to apply. Please be aware that this position operates within a secure facility subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), which may restrict non-U.S. citizens from participating in certain activities.
