Nico Products, part of The Lindgren Group, operates in the critical but often unseen metal finishing and plating industry. We protect metal from corrosion and apply cosmetic or functional treatments to parts used in medical devices, aerospace, defense, and U.S. manufacturing. Our work touches everything from tools to hardware, supporting essential sectors that rely on precision and durability.
As a Rack & Tool Maker (Welder/Fabricator) and Maintenance Technician, you will be a pivotal part of our production success. This hands-on role involves fabricating, modifying, maintaining, and repairing the metal racks, fixtures, jigs, and tools that drive our manufacturing processes. You will ensure parts are held or plated correctly, directly supporting production efficiency and the continuous improvement of our tooling systems.
You will work alongside the Maintenance Department to ensure the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment used in our plating and manufacturing processes. This is an active, career-oriented position where your strong work ethic and initiative can lead to growth as an expert, a lead trainer, or a supervisor. We reward commitment with bonuses and opportunities to advance within the company.
Our facility is a clean, OSHA-compliant warehouse environment. While we maintain high standards, the role involves exposure to typical industrial conditions, including heat, humidity, dust, and noise. Security is paramount; strict protocols are in place, including the requirement to lock up personal mobile devices during shifts (available only on breaks in designated areas). We rely on a team that shows up every day, on time, and ready to work. Attendance is critical to our collective success.
We conduct in-person interviews only. If you do not currently reside in Minnesota, you must have definite relocation plans in place before being considered. Please note that we do not accept applications from staffing agencies; we hire direct only.
To apply, upload your current resume and thoughtfully answer the provided screener questions. There is no need to contact HR to verify receipt of your application; you will know it was received if you get an email or text response. If selected, you will be contacted via text or email. Please expect a response within 14 days of your application.
Important: As part of our onsite interview process, candidates must pass a basic math test within 10 minutes to proceed to the next phase.
The Lindgren Group, including Avtec Finishing and Nico Products, is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Veterans are encouraged to apply.
We must comply with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), which may restrict persons of non-U.S. citizen status from working on certain activities within the company. Therefore, candidates must be U.S. citizens or have authorization to work in the U.S.
