About the Team

The Electric Compliance Assurance department is a vital component of PG&E's Electric Risk & Compliance organization. Our mission is to embed compliance and risk management into every aspect of our operations, ensuring we achieve regulatory outcomes that support the business while maintaining the highest safety standards. We are dedicated to identifying compliance challenges and areas of risk, then implementing solutions to fix them. Our work spans incident reporting, investigations, overseeing Electric Operations and Power Generation Corrective Action Plans (CAP), and validating organizational controls.

About the Role

As a member of the Electric Compliance Controls Validation Team, you will play a critical role in supporting PG&E's commitment that "Everyone and Everything is Always Safe." This position offers a high level of visibility with company leadership and focuses on identifying external rules and regulations, documenting the controls in place to meet them, and performing design and operating effectiveness testing.

You will bring a structured approach to benchmarking regulatory requirements, validating process controls, and summarizing findings. Your work will directly strengthen PG&E's safety culture and compliance posture, advancing enterprise learning, transparency, and continuous improvement across investigations. This role requires a blend of deep technical, regulatory, and operational expertise to effectively influence decisions within a matrixed organization.

Work Environment & Location

This position is hybrid, allowing you to work from a remote office and an assigned office based on business needs. The location is flexible within PG&E's service territory, which spans a wide range of communities across California. The role requires occasional travel to other facilities for meetings and site visits, estimated at 10% to 30% of your time, to support business needs and validate controls on the ground.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will report to the Manager, Electric Compliance Controls Validation. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with the necessary experience in utility operations, regulatory oversight, and audit readiness to drive meaningful improvements in our compliance framework.

Equal Opportunity Employer

PG&E is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status. We strive to foster an environment where everyone can contribute to our shared goal of safety and reliability.
