The Electric Compliance Assurance department is a vital component of PG&E's Electric Risk & Compliance organization. Our mission is to embed compliance and risk management into every aspect of our operations to achieve regulatory outcomes that support the business. We are dedicated to identifying compliance challenges and areas of risk, enabling the organization to proactively fix issues before they escalate.
Our team focuses on identifying compliance risks, mitigating them through incident reporting and investigations, overseeing Electric Operations and Power Generation Corrective Action Plans (CAP), and validating the controls that protect our organization. The work we do strengthens PG&E's safety culture and compliance posture, reinforcing our commitment that "Everyone and Everything is Always Safe."
As a member of the Electric Compliance Controls Validation Team, you will serve as an experienced business professional with high visibility across PG&E leadership. This role exists to ensure that PG&E adheres to external rules and regulations by documenting controls, performing design and operating effectiveness testing, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
You will bring a structured approach to identifying external regulatory requirements, benchmarking internally and externally, and validating process controls. Your findings will be summarized and presented to senior leaders to drive enterprise learning, transparency, and continuous improvement. This position requires a blend of deep technical, regulatory, and operational expertise to effectively influence decisions within a matrixed organization.
The role is hybrid, offering flexibility to work from a remote office or an assigned office based on business needs. While the position is located within PG&E's service territory, occasional travel to other areas within the territory may be required to support business operations.
Candidates selected for this role will report to the Manager, Electric Compliance Controls Validation. The interview process will evaluate your ability to work independently and effectively within team settings, as well as your capacity to coach stakeholders and present complex findings to executive leadership.
PG&E is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to building a diverse workforce and fostering an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, identity, or experience.
