About the Role
This 2-year consulting engagement is based in West Sacramento, CA, and focuses on providing high-level software testing support and quality assurance oversight. The role is designed to ensure the integrity, performance, and timely resolution of defects across the entire System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The consultant will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating complex requirements into robust testing strategies.
Day in the Life
The consultant will spend significant time reviewing business requirements and user stories to define functional and non-functional testing needs. A core part of the role involves collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop comprehensive test plans, test scripts, and data sets for various testing types, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing, and automated regression testing.
You will lead testing activities, manage defect tracking using industry tools, and analyze results to identify anomalies. A key responsibility is maintaining clear communication channels by preparing weekly status reports and presenting technical findings on schedule, resources, and risks during monthly engagement reviews.
