About the Opportunity
DTS is seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst to lead business analysis efforts for a client project in Lansing, MI. This role is designed for a professional who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, driving requirements discovery and ensuring high-quality software delivery within complex enterprise environments.
The Role in Context
As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams. Your mission is to translate complex business needs into scalable technology solutions while maintaining rigorous traceability and quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to improve business processes, support testing strategies, and mentor junior analysts.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in Quality Assurance and Azure DevOps who is comfortable navigating Agile ceremonies and managing the full defect lifecycle. You will not only gather requirements but also define test strategies, oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and contribute to enterprise-level standards and best practices.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- verified7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst on enterprise software projects
- verifiedHands-on experience with Azure DevOps for backlog management, user stories, sprint tracking, and defect management
- verifiedStrong experience with software testing, QA processes, and UAT coordination
- verifiedDeep knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Nice to Have
Experience working in enterprise-scale or multi-team Agile environments. Familiarity with SQL, APIs, data integration, and system architecture concepts. Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.
