About the Role
LHH's Manufacturing & Engineering Search team is partnering with a high-volume electronics manufacturing organization to hire a Quality Engineer. This role is critical for maintaining product quality, process control, and supplier performance within a fast-paced production environment.
The Quality Engineer serves as a bridge between design engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers. The position requires a hands-on background in electronic assembly manufacturing, where you will ensure products and processes meet established quality requirements from development through mass production. You will work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and resolve complex quality issues as they arise in the field and on the line.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleSupport design and development teams with qualification activities for new and existing products
- check_circleConduct first-article inspections of PCB assemblies and electronic components
- check_circleOperate X-ray inspection equipment and perform PCBA cross-section analysis
- check_circleInvestigate electronic assembly manufacturing processes to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- check_circleLead and support failure analysis on returned units and generate detailed reports
- check_circleManage ISO 9001 compliance activities, including internal audits, certification audits, and CAPAs
- check_circleInterface with global manufacturing locations and suppliers to resolve quality issues
- check_circleManage supplier quality assurance activities, including audits, evaluations, and performance monitoring
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience
- verifiedMinimum 5 years of quality experience in electronic assembly manufacturing
- verifiedExperience with ISO 9001, quality management systems, failure analysis, and corrective actions
- verifiedLegal authorization to work in U.S. without sponsorship
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience using X-ray inspection and PCBA cross-section tools. Experience working with PLM, ERP, or enterprise quality systems.
