The Quality Control Technician serves as the vital bridge between production staff and the Quality department, ensuring seafood products and manufacturing materials meet all predefined criteria, applicable laws, and company standards. This role is critical to maintaining product safety and integrity across three stages of production: before, in-process, and final. By conducting rigorous inspections, performing moisture analysis, and executing microbiological testing, the technician ensures that only Grade-A products are released for sale or distribution.
In this position, you will be the primary contact for all quality, food safety, and regulatory issues, working closely with the Quality Control Supervisor or Manager. The day-to-day involves a blend of analytical precision and physical engagement, from performing organoleptic inspections of fresh and frozen seafoods to maintaining HACCP compliance documents and conducting internal plant audits. You will report findings directly to management, communicating any quality or compliance concerns with urgency to safeguard the brand's reputation.
