The Quality Engineer serves as a critical partner in the manufacturing and maintenance of turbine engine components, ensuring that every aspect of quality evaluation and resolution is handled with precision. This role exists to uphold rigorous quality system requirements compliance while driving continuous improvement across the production lifecycle.
In this position, you will interpret complex engineering drawings and customer specifications to define quality standards in collaboration with engineering staff. Your day-to-day involves leading problem-solving activities, including the development of corrective action responses and 8D methodologies for permanent fixes. You will also manage internal and customer documentation, ensuring the timely release of configuration management documents to deliver exceptional service to both internal teams and external suppliers.
Beyond immediate issue resolution, you will formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards. A key focus of this role is actively supporting site goals related to cost reduction, scrap and rework minimization, and improved First Pass Yield through data-driven insights and statistical analysis.
