The Quality Manager at Century Arms serves as a strategic partner to the COO, Director of Operations, New Product Development Manager, and Director of Purchasing. This position is dedicated to establishing and maintaining high-level quality standards while optimizing production processes to minimize defects in manufacturing and assembly. The role is pivotal in ensuring that every firearm produced meets rigorous specifications and safety requirements.
In this capacity, you will lead the Corrective Action Program and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your day-to-day involves a blend of high-level strategic planning and hands-on technical execution. You will monitor and audit processes, manage supplier quality, and oversee product testing against established standards. The role requires a deep dive into data analysis to identify root causes of quality deviations and implement corrective actions that reduce total quality costs.
A significant portion of the role involves bridging the gap between design and production. You will perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation, ensuring compliance with vendor quality manuals and company records. Furthermore, you will mentor QA personnel, develop inspection standards, and utilize advanced test equipment—including CMMs, optical comparators, and surface plates—to validate product integrity.
Century Arms is committed to excellence in firearm production. Maintaining ISO 9001 compliance is a core pillar of our operations, and this role is essential to upholding that standard. We value a culture of precision, where technical expertise in tooling, machining, and quality engineering directly impacts the reliability of our products.
Century Arms is an equal opportunity employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this job.
