About the Role
This Finance position is responsible for monitoring the quality of perishable products within the warehouse on an ongoing basis. The role serves as a critical bridge between operational logistics and customer satisfaction, ensuring that products set up for shipping meet the highest acceptable standards.
In this role, you will exercise discretion and independent judgment to maintain the general operation of produce quality control. Your day-to-day activities involve inspecting inbound freight, warehoused product, and outbound goods to document their condition. You will communicate quality issues directly with buyers to assist in resolving them, ensuring the customer receives the highest quality products possible. Additionally, you will monitor variance reports to accurately account for spoilage and damage, while analyzing problems to propose actionable solutions for Quality Assurance.
Beyond quality control, the position requires extensive customer service duties. You will greet internal and external customers in a friendly and efficient manner, utilizing strong listening and communication skills to facilitate effective two-way communication. The role also involves inputting orders through data entry and ensuring products are rotated properly during daily slot checks.
