This position serves as a vital support hub for the purchasing and sales departments, ensuring the smooth flow of administrative and clerical operations. The role is designed to maintain accurate records, manage central stores inventory, and facilitate the ordering process. By bridging the gap between vendor communications, internal requestors, and data systems, this position ensures that materials are available when needed and that all documentation remains compliant and up-to-date.
You will be the operational backbone for the central stores and purchasing functions. Your day involves managing files, logs, and purchase orders while maintaining critical information within computer systems. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to the physical and digital management of inventory, including handling incoming materials, ensuring compliance with department procedures, and entering receipts into the Plex system.
You will also act as a liaison with vendors to obtain pricing and coordinate delivery timing. Additionally, you may take ownership of the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) program, responsible for maintaining data and receiving necessary certificates. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills to effectively retrieve and distribute materials to various requestors across the organization.
This role requires adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). The position involves working in a dynamic environment with rotating shifts, and regular attendance is essential to maintain operational continuity.
