Taunton State Hospital (TSH), operated by the Department of Mental Health (DMH), is a 62-bed inpatient facility dedicated to providing continuing care for adults with major mental illnesses. As a leader in the Southeast Area, the hospital integrates the Principles of Recovery and a rehabilitation philosophy into its treatment model, working closely with inpatient teams to facilitate patients' successful discharge back into the community.

Taunton State Hospital is seeking a qualified and dynamic Psychologist V to join our team as the Psychology Supervisor. In this full-time role, you will provide clinical and administrative oversight of the Psychology department, facilitating the integration of psychological services with other clinical disciplines such as nursing and psychiatry.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the treatment and care of adults in an innovative, recovery-focused setting. As a key player in the facility, you will collaborate with clinical leaders, including the Medical Director and Nursing Executive, to address challenging cases and ensure comprehensive, multidisciplinary treatment. You will supervise and guide a diverse team, including psychology and other clinical leaders, ensuring high-quality care while carrying your own caseload of psychotherapy and psychological testing.
The selected candidate will serve as a mentor, facilitating the growth and development of staff through training, evaluations, and active participation in the hiring process. You will also work closely with the Director of Forensic Services to ensure the integrity of forensic evaluations and mental health treatment.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week on the first shift, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The schedule includes weekends off (Saturday and Sunday). Depending on assignment, travel may be required, and employees using a motor vehicle must possess a valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operator's license or the equivalent from another state.
