The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital (LSH), operated by the Department of Public Health (DPH), is a fully Joint Commission accredited teaching facility located in the heart of Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood. As a cornerstone of care for economically and socially disadvantaged patients, the hospital provides acute, subacute, and ambulatory care with a staff that respects patient dignity. The facility includes 248 inpatient beds, a full outpatient clinic, and is on the forefront of substance use disorder treatment, including a Suboxone clinic serving 200 patients. LSH also supports an array of services for patients struggling with addictions and homelessness.
We are seeking a Staff Clinical Psychologist to provide essential behavioral health services to our med-surg inpatient units. In this role, you will deliver a full spectrum of direct patient care, ranging from crisis management and suicide risk assessment to supportive therapy and bereavement services for patients receiving palliative care. You will collaborate with Addiction Medicine Specialists and multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans, while also supervising psychology trainees and contributing to hospital-wide training programs. This position requires a balance of clinical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
