Advanced Recovery Systems is an integrated behavioral healthcare management company dedicated to treating addiction, substance abuse, and mental health issues. We put behavioral health front and center, assisting people with substance abuse issues, addictions, and mental health concerns. With facilities in various regions of the U.S., we have been furthering this mission since our inception, applying our advanced approach to patient care. The Peer Support Specialist plays a vital role in advancing Advanced Recovery Systems' mission by enriching care with lived experience. This role bridges the gap between clinical professionals and individuals receiving care, fostering trust and engagement. Collaborating with clinicians, medical providers, and case managers, you will offer unique insights into the recovery process. Your contributions will strengthen recovery-oriented care and improve outcomes by combining clinical expertise with relatable, personal experience.
In this position, you will establish relationships with patients as peers, ensuring new patients are oriented to the building and unit so they start the program with a clear understanding of their environment. You will assist clients by coaching them to identify strengths and personal resources to aid in achieving their recovery goals. Your day will involve mentoring, monitoring, and motivating clients, as well as facilitating weekly Peer Support sessions, AA/NA meetings, and life skills groups. You will also manage crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques, rounding on Detox and Residential units to ensure patients are welcomed into clean, prepared rooms with necessary amenities.
What sets us apart is our supportive leadership and strong team culture. We encourage cross-functional collaboration for holistic care and provide the ability to be creative in curriculum development. As a nationally recognized and expanding company, we are dedicated to saving lives. Our culture is built on the belief that every individual deserves a chance at a healthy, happy life free from the burden of addiction.
