About Melody
Melody is an early-stage research organization engineering continuous molecular monitoring technology and designing closed-loop interventions for human health. We leverage protein engineering, medical device engineering, and physiology modeling to bridge blue-sky science and hardcore manufacturing.
As a nonprofit startup based in Pasadena, we were founded by scientists and engineers from Janelia and Caltech and incubated by Convergent Research. Our mission is to produce public goods—biosensors, devices, datasets, protocols, and tools—that help launch a broader field of real-time molecular medicine.

Convergent Research is looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: PhD in relevant science/engineering field OR BS/MS with >5 years industry experience; Strength in experimental-first or computation-first protein design track; Structural biology and biophysics competency for optical/electrophysiological measurements; Quantitative judgment for experimental design under constraints; Demonstrated precision in experimental work and scientific project management; and Strong technical communication skills.
