Property Field Claims Adjuster

About the Role

You will work in the field reporting to the Property Claim Manager, handling homeowner property field claims primarily within the Bemidji, Minnesota area. This is a field-based position where you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) directly interacting with customers on-site. On occasion, you may be asked to travel to an office location for in-person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events.

A company fleet vehicle is provided with the position, with an option to use the vehicle for personal use. You must be located within the Bemidji area to be considered for this role.

The Day-to-Day

In this role, you will investigate the origin and cause of claims by contacting appropriate parties, including insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, and public personnel. You will conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and handle claim negotiations with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.

You will manage both 1st party and 3rd party claims under multiple policy types and numerous endorsements, interpreting policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, and contract coverages to apply them to assigned losses. Your responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries, making appropriate decisions, closing files, and proactively providing all parties with the claim process and status.
