The Roofing Project Manager serves as L. Wallace Construction Company's management representative, acting as the primary driver for the safe and successful completion of assigned projects. This role exists to ensure every project is delivered within budget and on schedule while adhering to strict company quality standards and exceeding customer expectations.
You will lead the project team through every phase of the lifecycle, from initial scheduling and budgeting to risk mitigation, safety compliance, and final execution. Success in this position requires taking initiative to proactively address challenges, effectively manage complex project activities, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders, clients, and field crews.
This position operates across both office and field environments. A typical day may involve sitting in a jobsite trailer for extended periods to handle administrative duties, coordinate schedules, manage budgets, and generate reports. You will also spend significant time navigating active construction sites, walking uneven terrain, climbing stairs and ladders, and inspecting rooftops to ensure safety and quality.
You must be prepared to work in varying weather conditions, wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), and respond quickly to changing project conditions or emergencies. The role demands physical agility to stand, bend, kneel, and occasionally lift materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, ensuring you can communicate effectively with field crews, subcontractors, and vendors on the ground.
