The Project Manager for Early Phase (EP) serves as the strategic bridge between Parexel and our sponsors, leading teams to develop tailored solutions for clinical research programs. Based in a home-based environment with a preference for California, Colorado, or Texas, this role demands a deep understanding of business dynamics and the flexibility to make informed, independent decisions. You will be the central point of contact for functional teams and sponsors, ensuring operational excellence and the successful execution of clinical operations and logistical strategies.
Your mission is to drive projects to completion on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards, fully compliant with ICH, GCP, and applicable regulations. Beyond execution, you will manage the financial health of projects, overseeing revenue recognition, milestone payments, and monthly pass-through invoices while adhering to strict SOPs and contract terms.
You will own the sponsor relationship, proactively communicating progress, risks, and solutions to keep stakeholders aligned. From reviewing materials and preparing for bid defenses to leading kick-off meetings and managing site selection strategies, your day involves orchestrating complex study start-up activities. You will monitor study timelines, recruitment, and data cleaning, while also identifying potential risks and implementing contingency plans to keep the study on track. As a leader, you will contribute to SOP development and provide oversight and training to Associate PMs and Project Assistants, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
