The Project Manager for Early Phase (EP) serves as the strategic bridge between Parexel and our sponsors, leveraging deep clinical research expertise to develop tailored solutions. Based in a home-based environment with a preference for California, Colorado, or Texas, this role is designed for a self-starter who can navigate ambiguity and make informed decisions independently. You will lead both internal functional teams and external sponsor relationships, ensuring operational excellence and the successful execution of clinical operations and logistical strategies for EP clinical trials or programs.
Your mission is to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards, fully compliant with ICH, GCP, and applicable regulations. Beyond execution, you will manage the financial health of your projects, overseeing revenue recognition, milestone payments, and monthly pass-through invoices while ensuring strict adherence to SOPs, contract terms, and system metrics.
You will act as the central point of contact and escalation for all functional teams, proactively communicating project progress, risks, and solutions to both sponsors and internal stakeholders. Your day involves leading regular meetings to ensure objectives are met, from pre-award strategy and bid defenses to study start-up activities and site selection. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of the trial, from setting up project teams and managing IRB/EC approvals to monitoring recruitment, retention, and data cleaning. As the study concludes, you will lead close-out procedures and facilitate end-of-study meetings to document lessons learned, ensuring continuous improvement for future programs.
