The Project Manager for Early Phase (EP) serves as the strategic bridge between Parexel and our sponsors, leading cross-functional teams to deliver tailored clinical research solutions. This position is designed for a professional who combines deep clinical research experience with agile project management skills to drive operational excellence. You will be the central point of contact for sponsors, responsible for navigating the complexities of early-phase trials from pre-award strategy through to project close-out.
In this role, you will ensure the successful execution of clinical operations and logistical strategies, holding accountability for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Beyond execution, you will manage the financial health of your programs, overseeing revenue recognition, milestone payments, and compliance with ICH, GCP, and internal SOPs. The role demands a high degree of independence, requiring you to make informed decisions in ambiguous situations while fostering strong relationships across virtual teams and cultures.
Your work will span the entire lifecycle of a clinical program. You will begin by reviewing strategic materials and leading bid defenses to shape project management strategies. Once a project is awarded, you will orchestrate study start-up activities, manage site selection, and lead kick-off meetings to align internal and sponsor expectations. Throughout the implementation phase, you will monitor recruitment, retention, and data cleaning, proactively communicating risks and solutions to stakeholders. Your leadership extends to mentoring Associate PMs and Project Assistants, contributing to SOP development, and ensuring rigorous documentation for audits and inspections.
This is a home-based role with a preference for candidates located in California, Colorado, or Texas. You will lead virtual teams across different locations, requiring strong digital collaboration skills and the ability to maintain team cohesion remotely.
We are looking for candidates ready to make an immediate impact. The application process begins with submitting your resume to join our high-performing Project Management Team.
