Founded in 1938, CDR Maguire is a full-service infrastructure consulting firm operating at the intersection of innovation and alternative project delivery solutions. With offices across the nation, the firm serves clients in New England, Pennsylvania, and Florida. CDR Maguire delivers engineering consulting services, emergency management solutions, and disaster health and medical services, providing a full continuum of project and program management, transportation design, and construction engineering management and inspection.
This position serves as a pivotal manager for multiple infrastructure projects across western Pennsylvania, focusing on bridges, street reconstruction, traffic improvements, and locally led initiatives. The role exists to ensure the successful delivery of design projects for Local Public Agencies (LPAs) while navigating the complexities of funding, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder coordination.
In this capacity, you will act as the primary liaison between the firm and LPA staff, managing contracts, agreements, and funding streams from agencies such as PennDOT and FHWA. The day-to-day involves chairing and coordinating critical meetings to review design progress, utility issues, right-of-way matters, and interactions with the PUC and railroads. Beyond technical oversight, the role includes supervising administrative and support staff, ensuring that project teams have the resources needed to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Candidates are expected to demonstrate a strong background in civil engineering design or management. The selection process involves reviewing qualifications against the firm's standards for progressively responsible experience and engineering expertise.
CDR Maguire is an Equal Opportunity Employer (M/F/D/V and EO/AAN/D). We consider qualified applicants regardless of background. Applicants must be able to work in the United States to apply.
