About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia, to provide comprehensive coordination, oversight, and reporting support for facility renovation, transition, and move management activities. This role is pivotal in supporting the Military Sealift Command (MSC) facilities located primarily at Naval Station Norfolk and Joint Base Little Creek.
As the central liaison between Government stakeholders, NAVFAC, contractors, and facility personnel, you will ensure the successful execution of renovation and relocation efforts. Your work will maintain schedule visibility, cost awareness, and operational readiness while navigating the complexities of federal facility projects. The position involves a dynamic mix of office work and field environments, including construction sites, requiring you to conduct routine walkthroughs, assess building layouts, and manage sensitive information in controlled environments.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct routine walkthroughs during renovation and after turnover to MSC
- check_circleIdentify and document discrepancies between construction plans and actual work completed
- check_circleServe as liaison between Government stakeholders, NAVFAC, contractors, and facility personnel
- check_circleAttend weekly coordination meetings and provide detailed summaries within two business days
- check_circleAssess building layouts and provide recommendations for space allocation and furniture
- check_circleTrack and report status of IT systems, physical security, and funding
- check_circleAssist in developing and maintaining facility transition and relocation plans
- check_circleCoordinate closeout of vacated facilities and return of buildings to NAVFAC
- check_circleManage inventory of building contents including serial numbers and asset locations
Requirements

Nice to Have
Experience supporting NAVFAC, DoD, or federal facility projects. Familiarity with SCIF requirements and secure facility operations. Experience in move management or large-scale facility transitions. Knowledge of DLA Disposition Services processes.
