The Technology Services department at the Wayne County Airport Authority is dedicated to managing the critical technology infrastructure for both Detroit Metro (DTW) and Willow Run (YIP) airports. Our mission is to ensure the seamless operation of the Authority's security and surveillance systems, supporting the safety and efficiency of two major aviation hubs.
As an onsite Programmer Analyst (Video Management System Technician), you will serve as a key technical resource for our Security Surveillance Platform. This role is designed to bridge the gap between hardware deployment and software administration, ensuring our Genetec Video Management System, AXIS Camera Solutions, and underlying infrastructure operate at peak performance.
In this position, you will work directly with the VMS Administrator to maintain system integrity while executing hands-on tasks such as camera commissioning, network configuration, and troubleshooting. You will be the first line of defense for CCTV coverage design and cabling installation, collaborating closely with vendors to resolve complex technical issues. The role requires a blend of field expertise and system administration, with a focus on maintaining accurate technical documentation and ensuring reliable communication between ProWatch, Genetec, and other access control systems.
Qualified candidates will be evaluated based on their technical experience with CCTV applications and enterprise infrastructure. The selection process involves a review of qualifications followed by interviews to assess technical proficiency and cultural fit with the Technology Services team.

Entry/Intermediate experience creating and maintaining technical documentation. General experience using drawing tools (AutoCAD, etc.). General experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, etc.). General experience with programming and configuring ASCII-based communication interfaces for data exchange between ProWatch and Genetec and other access control security systems. Genetec Security Center 5.x Enterprise certification. AXIS Certified Professional certification.
