The Technology Services department at the Wayne County Airport Authority is dedicated to managing the critical technology infrastructure for both Detroit Metro (DTW) and Willow Run (YIP) airports. As a vital part of the Authority, the team ensures the seamless operation of security and surveillance systems that protect our facilities and support millions of travelers annually.
We are seeking an onsite Programmer Analyst (Video Management System Technician) to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the implementation and ongoing administration of our Security Surveillance Platform, specifically utilizing Genetec Video Management Systems, AXIS Camera Solutions, and the underlying infrastructure. This position is designed for a hands-on professional who thrives in an enterprise environment and is passionate about maintaining high standards of security and operational continuity.
Your day-to-day will involve configuring and commissioning cameras, primarily Axis models, according to industry best practices. You will work closely with the VMS Administrator to maintain the Genetec system, assist with CCTV coverage design, and troubleshoot complex cabling and network issues. Beyond technical execution, you will collaborate with vendors to facilitate installations and contribute to the creation of technical documentation. This role requires a blend of technical precision and effective communication, with the flexibility to be available after hours or on call to ensure our security systems remain robust around the clock.
Interested candidates should submit their application through the official Wayne County Airport Authority career portal. The selection process typically includes a review of qualifications, followed by a technical assessment and an interview with the Technology Services leadership team to discuss your experience with video management systems and enterprise infrastructure.
