The Security Analyst serves as a critical guardian of the Board's physical and electronic security infrastructure. This role is dedicated to maintaining and administering the Board's Electronic Security System (ESS), ensuring that access control and CCTV functions operate seamlessly to protect staff and facilities. The position exists to bridge the gap between complex technical security systems and the Board's broader mission of safety and compliance.
In this capacity, you will not only manage day-to-day operations but also act as a strategic advisor. You will review intelligence reports, assess security vulnerabilities, and design robust security systems based on data-driven analysis. The role requires a strong customer service philosophy, demanding professional behavior when interacting with all clients and stakeholders while resolving complex technical issues. You will be responsible for proposing hardware and software solutions that adhere to strict constraints, including the Board's Information Security Program and federal legislative requirements such as the Interagency Security Committee (ISC), Sarbanes-Oxley, and the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).
You will work within a framework that prioritizes the safety and security of the Board's staff and facilities. The team collaborates closely with the Law Enforcement Unit (LEU) and senior leadership to develop, implement, and adhere to physical security policies, regulations, and procedures. Your work directly supports compliance initiatives across all equipment, policies, and personnel, ensuring alignment with guidelines such as the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and Homeland Security Presidential Directives (HSPDs).
As a key member of the team, you will serve in specific capacities defined by HSPD-12, acting as a "Security Officer," "USACCESS Agency Lead," and "Sponsor" to maintain compliance with the Board's PIV program. You will also facilitate vulnerability assessments and Facility Security Level (FSL) evaluations to ensure adherence to ISC, Federal Reserve System, and Executive Branch security regulations.
Candidates for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance based upon a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). This requirement is mandatory for all applicants and is a prerequisite for performing the duties of the role.
The Board is an equal opportunity employer committed to a diverse workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring that our security team reflects the strength and variety of the communities we serve.

The Federal Reserve Board operates as the central banking system of the United States, headquartered in Washington, DC. Established by Congress in 1913, this independent entity within the banking industry was created to foster a safer, more flexible, and stable monetary and financial environment for the nation. Over the decades, its scope has broadened to address evolving economic complexities while maintaining its foundational mandate.
The organization executes four primary functions to support national economic health. It conducts monetary policy by managing credit conditions to achieve maximum employment, stable prices, and moderate long-term interest rates. Additionally, it supervises and regulates banking institutions to ensure the safety and soundness of the financial system and to safeguard consumer credit rights. The board also works to maintain overall financial stability by containing systemic risks that could emerge in financial markets.
Beyond regulation and policy, the Federal Reserve provides essential financial services to depository institutions, the U.S. government, and foreign official entities. This includes a significant operational role in managing the nation's payments system. Through these combined efforts, the agency supports the structural integrity of the U.S. economy and the global financial community.
