The Associate Member Services Officer (MSO) is an entry-level position designed to provide team members with foundational knowledge of SECU branch operations. In this role, you will perform routine branch duties while adhering to standard procedures. Your primary focus will be providing exemplary member service by responding to inquiries via telephone and in person.
You will begin your journey by mastering essential functions such as cash box management, account origination, and maintenance. As you grow, you will start training in lending and collections, gaining exposure to a wide range of financial products including insurance, retirement planning, investment services, trust, and mortgage services. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, develop professional relationships, and build a career in financial services.
To be considered for this position, candidates must complete the Credit Union's Core Module Program within 12 months of their hire date as a condition of employment. This position is based in an office setting with physical proximity to other employees and members. The environment includes typical office background noise from colleagues, printers, telephones, and coin machines. Bachelor's degree, CCUE Certification, Associate of Arts degree, or Associate of Science degree via the North Carolina Community College Transfer Program (NC-CTP).
Skills: Notary Public, Cxone, Ccue Certification.
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree via NC-CTP preferred.
