At Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch, our Program Therapists are an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team dedicated to supporting youth experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric challenges. Our mission is grounded in core values of Faith, Integrity, Relationship, and Stewardship, ensuring that every intervention promotes the mental health and well-being of the youth in our care.
As a Program Therapist, you will provide evidence-based interventions to a diverse caseload of youth. Your work extends beyond the clinical setting, requiring you to deliver individual, group, and family therapy in school, community, and home environments. You will conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop tailored treatment plans based on varying diagnoses.
This role demands a collaborative spirit. You will engage in regular communication with treatment team members, participate in peer supervision, and advocate for youth during school meetings (CST/IEP) and with community agencies. A key aspect of the position involves maintaining the financial viability of the program while ensuring strict compliance with external contract requirements, federal and state guidelines, and Montana Medicaid rules.
You will be comfortable engaging with youth and families both in person and via telehealth, intervening in crises with calm and appropriate measures that prioritize the safety of both staff and youth. Success in this role requires a team-first mindset, defining success collectively rather than individually, and maintaining professional therapeutic boundaries and confidentiality.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess a Master's degree from an accredited university in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a similar field. Candidates must hold a current Montana professional license (SWLC, PCLC, MFLC, LCSW, or LMFT) and possess a valid driver's license. All candidates are required to pass criminal record and child abuse registry background checks as mandated by the State of Montana.
Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring that our team reflects the values of integrity and mutual respect we strive to instill in the youth we serve.
