BayPointe Hospital is a psychiatric acute care facility located in Mobile, AL, dedicated to serving children, adolescents, and adults. Our clinical and medical professionals assess and evaluate individuals experiencing psychiatric crises, with a primary focus on stabilizing symptoms and preventing involuntary commitment. We are committed to ensuring that every patient, whether an adult or a child/adolescent admitted due to life-threatening, destructive, or disabling behaviors, receives a comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic evaluation and 24-hour clinical care.
Our ultimate goal is to support each patient in returning home or transitioning to the least restrictive level of care possible. In addition to our acute care services, BayPointe offers a specialized residential setting for children and adolescents who cannot safely remain in less restrictive environments. We provide a caring, structured environment with developmentally appropriate therapeutic services available 24 hours a day.
We believe in the power of community and family involvement. Our program actively supports families and caregivers, helping to maintain, enhance, or develop attachment with their child or adolescent during treatment. Consumers, families, caregivers, school personnel, DHR workers, and other relevant stakeholders are directly involved in the consumer's treatment and discharge planning. We strive to create a culture of courtesy and respect, treating every consumer with care, dignity, and compassion while honoring their privacy and confidentiality.
