The SCA's Architecture and Engineering Department is responsible for the development of scope, design, and construction documents for new school buildings, additions, lease conversions, and renovation work for New York City's approximately 1.1 million students. Our In-House studio is a multidisciplinary practice responsible for designing some of the largest and most complex schools in our 1,500+ school portfolio, as well as renovation work to existing schools. The Senior Design Project Manager will manage consultants and/or staff in the design and construction or renovation of new or existing school buildings. This role involves guiding interdisciplinary consultant teams, coordinating architectural and engineering design activities, and ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, codes, and standards. You will participate in day-to-day operations to resolve managerial and administrative issues, lead meetings with various SCA departments and outside contractors, and review documents for quality, constructability, and value engineering.
