We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to support critical enterprise technical initiatives for the Florida Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance (MQA). This role is vital for ensuring the successful delivery of complex IT projects within a highly regulated government environment. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, driving operational improvement and executive reporting to support the Department's legislative and leadership inquiries.
In this position, you will lead project planning, risk management, and testing coordination across multiple IT initiatives. You will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and flowcharts while tracking schedules, milestones, and technical performance. A key part of your day-to-day involves facilitating meetings with diverse groups, from technical teams to executive leadership, and producing high-level status reports and dashboards.
You will also coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, manage resource allocation, and support analytical efforts for the Department. This role requires a professional who can navigate the complexities of large-scale government projects, ensuring compliance with Department procedures while fostering process improvement and operational efficiency.
Candidates must be US Citizens and are required to pass a criminal background check, fingerprinting, and a possible drug test administered by the Florida Department of Health. The position is located in Tallahassee, FL, and requires a full-time, permanent commitment.
To be considered, applicants must hold a PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification and possess a minimum of 8 years of enterprise IT Project/Program Management experience, preferably within large-scale government or regulated environments. A Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related Business/Technical field is preferred.
