Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics is dedicated to delivering high-reliability avionics, aircraft instruments, and electrical power solutions that support pilots and operators worldwide. Our Engineering & Design team operates within a regulated, quality-driven, and customer-centric environment, known for the precision and reliability of our products across general, business, commercial, and military aviation sectors.
As a Program Engineer, you will serve as the technical and project liaison bridging engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers. Your mission is to guide complex aviation products from concept through certification, production, and in-service support. You will translate customer and regulatory requirements into clear technical specifications, coordinate multidisciplinary design activities, and manage program schedules and risks to ensure performance, safety, cost, and quality targets are consistently met.
In this role, you will plan and track engineering work packages, develop project plans, and provide structured status updates to internal stakeholders and external customers. You will work closely with design engineers on mechanical, electrical, software, and systems aspects, reviewing requirements, design outputs, test plans, and verification results. When issues arise, you will lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods to protect safety and reliability. By driving continuous improvement in processes and documentation, you will contribute directly to the on-time delivery that defines our organization.
This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a high-precision aerospace environment and is motivated by seeing products through their full life cycle—from early requirements and prototypes to flight-ready hardware in service around the world. You should possess a solid foundation in mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or systems engineering, along with experience in formal quality and configuration management systems. A structured approach to documentation and testing, combined with comfort working with schedules, budgets, and trade-offs, is essential.
In return, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced aerospace professionals and contribute to innovative solutions that enhance flight safety and reliability. This role offers a unique chance to grow your technical and leadership skills as a key member of our team, working on products that directly impact the aviation industry.
Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
