This position manages multiple short-term career certification training programs within the Talent Development Unit of the Department of Workforce Development. The role is responsible for overseeing the application process, program monitoring, and reviewing outcomes across different providers and services. You will manage budgets and program performance, respond to client concerns and questions, and communicate with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Specific activities around data system design and implementation, from a program perspective, will be central to this role.
In this role, you will establish and monitor program objectives, KPIs, and actions to achieve them. You will direct, plan, or implement policies and activities to ensure continuing operations and increased productivity. Your day will involve interpreting and explaining policies, rules, regulations, or laws to organizations, government officials, or individuals. You will recommend and implement corrective action plans to solve program problems and prepare reports for approval, including those for funding or implementation of services.
You will coordinate financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, or increase efficiency in the specified program. Ensuring program requirements meet federal and state policies and grants compliance is a key function. You will also develop and train employees or agency consultants on program requirements and usage, while coordinating and delivering communication plans. Additionally, you may serve on boards of directors and management committees, recruit, select, onboard, and train employees, and set expectations to measure progress and evaluate performance.
This position is exempt from overtime compensation. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
