This Chief Engineer role leads a group of programs within the S-ISR/CMPC portfolio, delivering high-impact software and hardware services to the Intelligence Community (IC) mission. As the Chief Engineer, you will be accountable for the entire technical baseline, including architecture, design, software development, testing, and delivery using Agile methodologies.
You will serve as a recognized Subject Matter Expert (SME), directly engaging with customers to support program objectives and shape future work. This position involves leading front-end business activities, fostering strong relationships with the customer community, and collaborating with program management to innovate high-value, quick-turn solutions. The role requires driving engineering leadership for capture activities, ensuring technical volume development complies with Statements of Work (SOW), and achieving design-to-cost, performance, and schedule targets.
Located onsite in Aurora, CO, this role demands a proactive approach to program execution, metrics collection, and risk mitigation. You will lead Engineering Bid Reviews (EBRs), ensure the implementation of Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), and provide critical engineering inputs to Program Estimates at Completion (EACs). Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a Chief Engineer succession plan while mentoring potential successors.
This position requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued TS/SCI security clearance prior to the start date, along with U.S. citizenship. Candidates must be able to obtain a polygraph after starting.
