The Professional Counselor (Psych Adult) is a part-time, variable, temporary position dedicated to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric and substance use disorders within a clinical setting. Working under direct clinical supervision, you will collaborate with patients and their support systems to assess risk, implement safety plans, and deliver specialized psychotherapy services. Your work will utilize evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy—to reduce or resolve symptoms in individual, group, and family settings.
This role is designed to support your professional growth toward licensure. You will work under a Board qualified supervisor certified by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists, following a licensing board-approved plan of supervision.
