PRODUCTION PACKER - 2nd Shift

About the Role

The Production Packer is the backbone of our fresh produce operations, ensuring that every bag and box of potatoes is stacked, weighed, and prepared with precision for warehouse storage and customer shipment. This role exists to maintain the integrity of our product from the packing line to the final destination, embodying our core values: Always improving, Always serving, and Always winning together.

In this position, you will be responsible for stacking 50-pound boxes and bales, as well as various bag sizes, into bins and onto pallets. Your day involves setting up packaging stations, wrapping bins for security, and weighing products to guarantee accuracy. Beyond the packing line, you will actively participate in maintaining a safe and efficient environment by cleaning work areas, disposing of waste, and handling raw materials such as unloading rail cars and managing holding bins.

Physical Environment

This role takes place in an active production environment where agility and manual dexterity are essential. You will be required to climb stationary ladders, work inside potato bins, and handle heavy loads, including 50-pound boxes and 100-pound bags. Safety is paramount; designated areas require the use of safety glasses and hearing protection. The environment may involve exposure to airborne particles, making adherence to safety protocols critical.
