About the Role
The Logistics Coordinator serves as the vital link between vendors, customers, and management, ensuring timely deliveries that meet specific customer requirements. Reporting directly to the Manager, this role is designed to facilitate seamless communication and operational flow.
In this position, you will act as the primary contact for vendors within your route territories, keeping them informed of traffic issues, construction, accidents, and weather conditions. You will manage the dispatch of independent contractors using specialized software, ensuring all pertinent data—including locations, scanning requirements, and temperature specifications—is communicated accurately. The role also involves resolving vendor grievances, managing emergencies, and maintaining strict Chain of Custody standards for customer parcels.
Beyond vendor management, you will provide excellent customer service by keeping clients notified of schedule changes or delays and addressing their questions or complaints. You will also support the customer service team during peak seasons, ensuring that all policies defined in the Independent Contractor Operating Agreement are consistently followed.
