About the Role
As a Production Operator, you will be an integral part of a team focused on excellence. Depending on your placement, your day will involve either helping to assemble, fill, and seal large cheese boxes while monitoring packaging equipment, or supporting the processing, drying, and packaging of whey products. Regardless of the specific area, you will work in a clean, organized, food-grade environment that differs from a typical factory setting.
In every role, you will follow strict food safety, quality, and safety procedures. You will complete basic paperwork and production records, communicate effectively with your team to ensure smooth operations, and safely handle cleaning chemicals using proper PPE. You will also take part in ongoing training and development to enhance your capabilities.
Work Environment and Schedule
You will work in a food production setting with moving equipment and some noise, where proper safety gear is provided. This is a full-time position featuring 12-hour shifts (5:00 AM–5:00 PM or 5:00 PM–5:00 AM). The schedule is rotating with every other weekend off, and includes double-time pay on Sundays. Training typically begins on the day shift before transitioning to a permanent schedule. Employees enjoy the benefit of working only half the days of the year with predictable hours.
