The Production Leader (Raw Dept.) - 2nd Shift serves as a Crew Lead responsible for the efficient management of all production functions within the raw department. This role is critical in ensuring the production of safe and high-quality food products that strictly adhere to USDA guidelines.
In this position, you will oversee associate staffing, develop leads and operators, and provide operational support to hourly employees. You will act as a bridge between management and the production floor, ensuring that safety, quality, and productivity standards are met in a fast-paced, 24-hour manufacturing environment. The role requires a hands-on approach to maintaining 5S standards, utilizing LEAN thinking for continuous improvement, and ensuring all work areas are compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
This role operates in a unique environment that requires physical resilience. Team members must be able to work in temperatures below 40 degrees in a cold, damp setting. The position involves standing for up to 10 hours per day, as well as bending, stooping, and squatting for housekeeping and miscellaneous duties. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and the ability to push or pull items exceeding 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Success in this role requires good hand-eye coordination and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking atmosphere.
