The Production Analyst serves as a critical bridge between raw data and strategic decision-making for SM Energy's oil and gas assets. Working both independently and within cross-functional teams, this role provides advanced analytical support to Production Engineering and Operations. The position is designed to transform complex datasets into actionable insights that drive financial and operational efficiency.
In this capacity, you will develop and maintain the workflows and databases that underpin the department's data integrity. Your day-to-day involves monitoring production trends, tracking variances against forecasts, and managing downtime events to identify root causes. You will act as a key partner to engineers and project managers, delivering the KPI reporting and cost engineering services necessary to refine estimating assumptions and optimize capital project execution.
