Process Engineer - LCLA

About the Role

This position serves as a critical bridge between engineering design and operational execution within our chemical process operations. You will be responsible for designing process flows and equipment layouts for new or revised facilities, while simultaneously developing and implementing the operational plans required to bring engineering projects to life.

In this role, you will balance technical precision with practical constraints, determining process designs that optimize cost, yield, safety, and material efficiency. Your day-to-day involves translating complex engineering specifications into actionable procedures, conducting tests to control variables like temperature and pressure, and troubleshooting process issues as they arise. You will work closely with outsourced engineers, operations personnel, and various departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Work Environment

This role offers a dynamic mix of office-based planning and on-site execution. You will operate in environments ranging from standard office settings to active chemical plants, where you may be exposed to various chemicals, fumes, and odors. The position requires the ability to work in diverse conditions, including confined spaces, elevated environments (up to 200 feet), and temperatures ranging from -10°F to over 100°F. While general office noise is moderate, outdoor work may involve louder sounds and vibrations. All environments are maintained with appropriate safety protocols, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
