As a Process Engineer II, you will be the in-factory materials and process specialist, working to improve processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability and safety, and maximize profitability. You will verify that Technical Data Package (TDP) shelf-life materials are correctly called out in Manufacturing Data Packages (MDP) and write material processing procedures. Your day-to-day involves collaborating on integrating process equipment within the factory, documenting equipment functionality, and actively participating in daily production meetings. You will serve as a key liaison between production and Materials & Process Engineering (M&PE), helping to drive the use of common materials and utilizing Lean manufacturing techniques to reduce variability and eliminate constraints.
This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending time in and around factory areas. The role is based onsite at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility and operates on a 1st Shift schedule (typically 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
This position requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret) prior to your start date. U.S. citizenship is mandatory as only U.S. citizens are eligible for this clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
