About Ecovyst

With over 75 years of expertise in sulfuric acid processing and an extensive plant network, we provide end-to-end regeneration services that support alkylate production. Our mission is to serve long-term sustainable trends through our Ecoservices business line, which offers sulfuric acid regeneration, virgin sulfuric acid, treatment services, and more.

About the Role

As a Process Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our continuous operation chemical manufacturing plant. Your primary focus is monitoring and optimizing plant process performance to drive improvements in safety, reliability, and efficiency. This role exists to bridge the gap between operational reality and engineering strategy, ensuring that our facilities run smoothly while adhering to strict industry standards.

In this position, you will manage the full lifecycle of process improvements, from troubleshooting production issues and investigating cost-reduction opportunities to authoring capital project scopes. You will play a hands-on role in executing small capital projects, supervising contractors, and supporting major turnaround activities. Beyond the technical execution, you will be a key contributor to our HSES teams, conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions to maintain a safe and compliant environment. You will also be responsible for maintaining critical operational documentation, including SOPs, P&IDs, and alarm management efforts, ensuring continuity and preventing the recurrence of problems.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will be required to work in a 24/7 continuous operation environment and participate in a rotational on-call schedule. The position demands the ability to work in the field, including climbing stairs, ladders, and entering equipment and vessels.

Equal Opportunity Employer

Ecovyst is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
