The Ambulatory Procedural Assistant is an integral member of the vascular team, participating in both direct and indirect patient care. At the direction of a Registered Nurse or provider, you will assist with procedures, exams, and scheduled therapies. Your day will involve preparing patients using the two-patient identifier process, providing support prior to procedures through safe patient handling, and positioning patients on exam tables.
During procedures, you will assist the medical team by preparing debridement trays, managing wound care, handling specimens, monitoring vital signs, and documenting photos. You will also ensure exam rooms are cleaned in accordance with environmental services standards, maintain equipment, and manage supply inventory. Success in this role requires clear communication with team members and a strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment safety.
Just as our reputation has spread beyond our Minnesota roots, so have our locations. Today, our employees are located at our three major campuses in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona; Jacksonville, Florida; and Rochester, Minnesota, as well as at Mayo Clinic Health System campuses throughout Midwestern communities and international locations. Each Mayo Clinic location is a special place where employees thrive in both their work and personal lives. Learn more about what each unique campus has to offer to find your best fit.
