About the Role
The Procedural Support Assistant is an integral member of the procedural team at the Gonda 14 Orthopedics location. This role exists to ensure seamless patient care before, during, and after procedures. You will provide patient support and information prior to the procedure, assist the proceduralist during the procedure, and manage postoperative support, information reporting, and specimen management.
Your day will involve obtaining vital signs, managing room turnaround and cleaning, and handling supply management delegated by the team. You will also transport patients to and from the department, supporting the health care provider by anticipating and responding to patient needs and requests. Success in this role requires the ability to handle difficult situations with calmness, manage emotional situations with empathy, and maintain positive communication in a rapidly changing environment.
