The Division of Probation & Parole – Adult operates within the Amite District, focusing on staff and offender safety, providing basic services, and creating opportunities for change, making amends, and successful reentry.
Make a difference in your community as a Probation and Parole Officer. In this impactful role, you will supervise and investigate criminal offenders while promoting public safety, accountability, and successful rehabilitation. You will work in a fast-paced criminal justice environment, utilizing counseling, case management, and community resources to support social adjustment. Your day-to-day responsibilities include enforcing conditions of probation and parole, conducting criminal justice investigations, and preparing reports for courts and parole boards. You will also coordinate offender placement in treatment programs, manage financial obligations, and ensure compliance with agency standards.
