We are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist to join our team as a PRN OB Hospitalist in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to focus exclusively on inpatient care, performing deliveries and rounding without the burden of clinic responsibilities, patient phone calls, or traditional call schedules. The position is designed for a physician who values a balance of kindness and patient safety within a collaborative environment.
You will work alongside a supportive team including first assistants, Critical Care, Emergency, affiliated Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM), and neonatology providers. The role involves providing emergency and unassigned OB care, managing transport logistics, and ensuring robust coverage for the Labor & Delivery unit. Spanish-speaking capabilities are a plus.
Corpus Christi Medical Center (CCMC) has been a regional acute care leader for over 30 years. Our 4-hospital campus system operates with 421 beds and includes a Level II Trauma Center. Our Obstetrics department features a 19-bed labor unit, 12-bed antepartum, 39 postpartum beds, 3 C-section suites, and a 5-bed OBED unit. We support our patients with Level I, II, and III NICUs, on-site MFMs, neonatologists at every C-section, 24/7 anesthesiology, and five da Vinci robots. Our 24/7 OB hospitalist program is backed by a 24/7 air and ground transport team.
CCMC is also home to ACGME-accredited residency programs in Internal Medicine and Dermatology, as well as fellowships in Cardiology and Pulmonary.
