About the Team

The Quantitative Development team is a vital component of Asset Management’s Quantitative Research and Investment Technology group. We partner closely with investment teams at Fidelity Asset Management Solutions on critical initiatives including portfolio construction, risk management, and alpha research. Our mission is to create high-quality, robust, and efficient, high-responsive solutions that enhance Fidelity's productivity and decision-making processes.

About the Role

As a Principal Quantitative Developer, you will blend investment management and technical expertise with a passion for delivering results. You will be embedded within the quantitative research team, acting as a bridge between complex data needs and technical execution. Your primary focus is to partner with investment teams to build high-quality, robust, and efficient analytical solutions that define risk for alternative investment processes.

In this role, you will lead the implementation of research projects through the entire software development lifecycle. You will add scale, rigor, and repeatability to research by applying software development best practices, while assisting research teams in developing new models and products that provide a competitive advantage in the marketplace. Success in this position requires the ability to intelligently apply advanced analytics and quantitative concepts to support investment needs and effectively communicate with stakeholders ranging from fundamental and quantitative researchers to senior management.
